The Piatti Quartet, winners of the St Martins/Making Music Chamber Music Competition 2010, is fast emerging as one of the UK's leading young string quartets. They will make their Wigmore Hall debut in 2011. They bring us a delightfully varied programme, beginning with one of Haydn's greatest quartets, followed by the powerful late 1920s quartet by Bartok and ending with Schubert's ever popular Death and the Maiden quartet.
